'Oggy aur Indiawaale' and 'Bade Dilwaale Bheem aur Indiawaale' to air this weekend on Cartoon Network and Pogo, respectively.
Shah Rukh Khan is going all out on TV to promote his upcoming movie Happy New Year (HNY), through different initiatives. After tying up with Zee TV to launch a special reality show Dil Se Naachein Indiawale, the HNY team has joined hands with Turner International India's popular 'kids entertainment channels', Cartoon Network and Pogo.
The channels have created two special shows that will feature the entire cast of the movie: Director Farah Khan and actors Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah will feature on Oggy and the Cockroaches in a special episode titled Oggy aur Indiawaale slated to be aired on October 18 at 12 pm on Cartoon Network.
The stars will also team up with Chhota Bheem in a special episode titled Bade Dilwaale Bheem aur Indiawaale, which is scheduled to b aired on October 19 at 12 pm on Pogo.
The special show on Cartoon Network will be based on the theme of the movie (life gives every loser a chance to be a winner). Motivated by the team HNY, Oggy will stand up to the cockroaches.
The special show on Pogo, on the other hand, will draw similarities between Indiawaale and Dholakpurwaale. It will touch upon how different people can come together to achieve a common goal for a good cause.
Diwali celebrations on CN will be followed with a week-long line-up of movies and 'specials' such as 'Kris ki Diwali', 'Phataka Oggy' and 'Hanuman Returns' from October 20-26 at 12 pm. The channel will also run a Diwali contest wherein kids can win a holiday to Singapore.
Pogo also has a line-up of movies and 'specials' for Diwali, such as The Adventures of Sinbad, Chhota Bheem ki Baazi, Bheem Tussi Great Ho!, that will run from October 20-26 at 12 pm. The channel is also running a contest that will give kids a chance to be a superhero with Chhota Bheem in his next movie.
