Zee Business hosts 'India's Best Market Analyst Awards
VSS Mani, founder, JustDial, was named Rising Star of the New Age Economy. Banker of the Year award went to Chanda Kochhar, MD, ICICI Bank.
Recently, Zee Business, India's first Hindi business channel, got into celebration mode with the fifth edition of India's Best Market Analyst Awards. This year, Zee also celebrated its tenth anniversary.
Puneet Goenka (CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises), Bhaskar Das (Group CEO, ZMCL), Samir Ahluwalia, (CEO, Content, Zee Media Corp), Adi Godrej (chairman, Godrej Group), Rakesh Jhunjhunwala (investor), Chanda Kochhar (MD, ICICI Bank), Habil Khorakiwala (owner, Wockhardt), Ajit Gulabchand (MD, Hindustan Construction Company) and Harsh Mariwala (chairman, Marico), were also present.
Award categories included both Equities and Commodities (see table for full list).
The awards served to highlight the path that India's financial sector has traversed over the past decade, and gain insight into the kind of work that goes into making market forecasts.
During the course of a panel discussion with corporate honchos, Amish Devgan, editor of Zee Business, gave the audience insight into what one can expect from the new government.
Ashish Pandit, CEO, Zee Media Corporation, spoke about the changes in India's financial sector over the past decade, and also about the way in which the channel has reinvented itself to adapt to the changing needs and aspirations of its viewers.
