As a part of its Animation Film Festival, the channel will have Marathi actors lend voices to Disney characters. The channel will start airing movies from May 3.
Zee Talkies, the Marathi movie channel from ZEEL, has announced a special summer line-up of Disney and Disney-Pixar animated films, as part of its Animation Film Festival.
For the first time ever, animated films will be dubbed in Marathi, especially for the audience of Maharashtra. Not just that, the 'crème de la crème' of the Marathi industry has been roped in for the films. Actors including Mahesh Manjrekar, Adinath Kothare, Ketaki Mategaonkar, Apeksha Dandekar will be lending their voices to the characters in these films.
With this, the channel aims to provide families with the most loved animated titles including Disney's 'The Lion King', 'Cinderella' and popular Disney-Pixar titles such as 'Brave' , 'UP', 'Finding Nemo' and 'Wall-E'.
While Mahesh Manjrekar and Adinath Kothare have dubbed for 'The Lion King', Ketaki Mategaonkar has lent her voice to 'Cinderella'.
For the record, Zee Talkies claims to reach out to about 20 million people across Maharashtra on a weekly average basis. Its movie library has Marathi movies like 'Sadhi Manase', 'Jagachya Pathiwar', 'Chhatrapati Shivaji', 'Molkarin', 'Gulacha Ganpati', 'Natrang' and 'Shwaas'.
