The India Today Group has appointed Kalli Purie as group editorial director, Broadcast and New Media. Earlier, she was designated as group synergy and creative officer.

It is pertinent to note here that the group recently launched a new channel, India Today Television. The channel replaced Headlines Today. In her new role, Purie will be responsible for all the editorial decisions at the broadcast division, which includes television (India Today Television, Aaj Tak, Dilli Aaj Tak) and radio (Oye FM) as well as new media that consists of number of websites.

Purie has been working with the India Today Group since 1996 and has held various roles and responsibilities. She started working with the flagship magazine, India Today as a marketing executive and reporter and then worked in the different divisions of the group spanning print, television and digital.

Since 2011, Purie has taken up the role of director of the India Today Conclave, an annual event that brings together leading politicians, film stars, celebrities, educationists and other prominent people from around the world, to discuss various topics.
