MTV Splitsvilla goes bi-weekly in season 8

Starting July 4, the show will be hosted by Sunny Leone and Rannvijay, who makes a comeback after seven years.

'MTV Splitsvilla Season 8' takes the lead on teaching boys the way to translate a woman's feelings with Sunny Leone and VJ Rannvijay as hosts. Starting July 4, the show will be aired on MTV at 7 pm and will try to uncover 'what women want'.

This season, the odds are tipped in the favour of the girls as the boys will be seen toiling their way into their ladies' hearts. This time, the creators of the show are pitting eight celebrity boys against eight regular boys to woo 14 girls. Set in Goa, the show, according to the channel, will be an insight into a woman's heart and the secrets it holds.

Announcing the launch of the show's latest edition, Aditya Swamy - EVP and business head, MTV, says, "We have a record number of brand partners this year which reflects the growing popularity of the show. Leveraging our huge fan base on social media with exclusive digital content and combining it with a multimedia marketing campaign, I am looking forward to a record opening for this season as we give our audience double the action by launching the show for the first time as bi-weekly."

As the host of the show consecutively for the second time, Leone comments, "I am excited to be back on the show and intrigued to find out what the boys will come up with to woo the women they like. I've had a lot of fun shooting with all these wonderful contestants and Rannvijay, who's just a big ball of energy!"

"It's going to be a lot of fun watching all these guys bumbling through their search for the answer to the eternal question, 'what do women really love?'" adds Rannvijay.

The participants for this season include Paras Chabra, winner of 'Splitsvilla 5'; Zaan Khan, actor; Prince Narula, winner of 'MTV Roadies X2'; Utkarsh Gupta, from MTV's fiction show 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan'; Ishaan Chibber - model and radio show host; model Viren Singh Rathore and TV actors Amaad Mintoo and Yash Pandit.

MTV, one of the world's famous youth brands, is a blend of music and pop culture which claims to have a global reach of more than half billion households and a fan following of 30 million across show pages on social media. It also has a live business with properties like 'MTV Video Music Awards' and 'MTV Bollyland'. Some of its popular shows include 'Roadies', 'Coke Studio', 'Unplugged' and 'Rock the Vote'.
