GEC Watch: Colors gains top position
In BARC's review of Week 51, Zee Anmol and Star Plus stood at second and third position, respectively.

As per the BARC data, Colors topped the charts by garnering 7,25,881 GVTs. At the No. 2 spot was Zee Anmol, with 7,12,825 GVTs, followed by Star Plus and Zee TV with 6,76,890 GVTs and 6,69,655 GVTs, respectively. Star Utsav stood fifth, with 514354 GVTs.
A look at the shows: Colors' Naagin was the most watched show in the genre; it got 18,549 TVTs. At No. 2 and No. 3 were Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (12,793 TVTs) and Zee Anmol's Ek Se Bhale Do (12,739 TVTs). Colors' Sasural Simar Ka stood fourth with 12,363 TVTs, followed by Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya with 12,183 TVTs.
TAM Data: Top Hindi GECs of Week 52: December 20 to December 26, 2015 - HSM without LC1, C&S 4+
As per the TAM data, too, Colors topped in Week 52, with 249 GRPs. At second position was Star Plus with 238 GRPs. Zee TV, Sony Sab and Life OK stood at No. 3, 4 and 5 ( 173, 141 and 112 GRPs), respectively.
Sony Entertainment Television was at the sixth spot (106 GRPs), followed by &TV (77 GRPs) and Zee Anmol (35 GRPs) at No. 7 and 8. Both Sony Pal and Star Utsav got 26 GRPs. Rishtey followed with 24 GRPs.
A look at the shows: Colors' Naagin was the most watched show; it got 5.11 TVR. It was followed by Star Plus' Yeh Hain Mohabbatein, with 4.44 TVR and Colors' Big Boss Double Trouble-Weekend with 4.04 TVRs. At No. 4 and 5, were Sony Sab's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (3.85 TVR) and Star Plus' Diya aur Baati Hum (3.79 TVR).
