OMD wins Telenor's media business

The agency will handle the business in India, Pakistan and Thailand, across both online and offline media platforms.

OMD has been awarded the media strategy, planning and buying duties for the Telenor Group, a mobile service provider, which claims to have over 200 million mobile subscribers. The win covers the markets of Thailand, India and Pakistan in Asia-Pacific, across both online and offline media platforms. The account is effective immediately.

India and Pakistan are new market wins, while in Thailand, the pre-paid category is an additional win for the agency. OMD Thailand has retained Telenor's post-paid business along with dtac - Telenor's subsidiary company in Thailand.
