GEC Watch: Star Plus rules Week 8; Colors at No.2

In Week 8 of BARC's viewership data, Star Plus is at the No.1 position while Colors and SAB TV also witnessed growth. While both Star Plus and Colors gained in viewership, Zee TV, Life OK and Sony saw a slight dip.

Star Plus climbed back to No.1 with a gross viewership of 768495 impressions, up from last week’s 692564. Colors slipped to No.2 with a gross viewership of 725868, a marginal rise from last week’s 716604.

Zee TV is at No.3 with a gross viewership of 645473 impressions (last week: 666691), while FTA channel Zee Anmol is at the No.4 position with a gross viewership of 625553 (last week: 656412).

Star Utsav grabbed the No.5 spot with a gain in gross viewership at 492907 impressions compared to the previous week's 446217 impressions, while Sony Pal is at No.6 with a gross viewership of 477372 (last week it was 433875).

Life OK comes in at No.7, with a gross viewership of 437776 impressions (last week: 465971), while FTA channel Rishtey is at No.8, with a gross viewership of 372527 impressions (last week: 371925).

SAB TV is at No.9, with a gross viewership of 363158 impressions (last week: 355146). Sony Entertainment Television is at No.10, with a gross viewership of 311654, a fall from 336447 last week.

Colors’ Naagin continues at the top for the eighth consecutive week with an average viewership of 20229 impressions (last week: 20284). DD National’s Asia Cup T20 2016 Live – Match 1 – Bangladesh vs India, was at No.2, with 14927 impressions while Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya is at No.3, with an average viewership of 14190 (last week: 15721). Star Plus’ Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No.4 with an average viewership of 13871 (last week: 12443), and Zee Anmol’s Jodha Akbar came in at No.5 with an average viewership of 12095 (last week: 12911).
