GEC Watch: The Kapil Sharma Show makes it to the list of top five watched shows in Week 17

In Week 17 of BARC's viewership data, Star Plus went on to grab the top spot, pushing down Colors to the No.2 position.

Star Plus' gross viewership went up to 692202 Impressions, from 628039 Impressions in the previous week. While Colors' gross viewership increased to 679642 Impressions, as compared to last week's 670523, FTA channel Sony Pal replaced Zee TV at No.3, garnering a gross viewership of 548932 Impressions (last week: 531196 Impressions).

Zee TV at No.4 lost its viewership marginally, slipping from last week's 539218 Impressions to 533468 Impressions in Week 17.

Star Utsav jumped up the ladder to No.5 position, with 482952 Impressions (last week: 419544 Impressions).

Life OK retained its No.6 position with an increase in gross Impressions, going up to 478240 as compared to 452797 Impressions last week.

Zee Anmol was at No.7 with 474113 Impressions, as compared to 513643 Impressions last week.

FTA channel Rishtey was at No.8 with 411338 Impressions as compared to last week's 435574 Impressions.

SAB TV remained at No.9, with a gross viewership of 359899 Impressions (last week: 359090 Impressions).

Sony Entertainment Television stayed at No.10, despite the launch of The Kapil Sharma Show, though its viewership went up to 347921 Impressions, from last week's 278738 Impressions.

Top five shows in Hindi GECs

Colors' Naagin remained the No.1 watched show with an average viewership of 16319 (last week: 15787).

Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein climbed up to the No.2 spot with an average viewership of 11566, up from last week's 10502.

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya slipped to No.3 from No.2, with an average viewership of 11208 as compared to last week's 11050.

Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya jumped to No. 4 with an average viewership of 10515 (last week: 8857).

Sony Entertainment Television's newly-launched show The Kapil Sharma Show made an entry into the list of the top five watched shows with an average viewership of 8943.
