Arré’s web series A.I.SHA to be aired in Tamil language

Post the success of Season One, the digital content maker now plans to release a Tamil version of the show to reach out to a wider audience.

Following the success of the first season of A.I.SHA | My Virtual Girlfriend by Arré, the digital content company is soon to release the Tamil version of the web series (dubbed version) to reach out to a wider audience.

The presenting sponsor of the Tamil version of the web series is Gillette Flexball, while the associate sponsors are Palo Alto Networks, Indo Nissin Foods, and Dell.

In addition, given the interest surrounding the larger theme of the story, the series has already found relevance and appeal with a wide set of audience in India and abroad. Apart from various Indian digital platforms such as Sony LIV, Yupp TV, and Vodafone Play, the show has formed a syndicate with the digital platform of one of France’s largest television network, TF1 Xtra.

A.I.SHA (Artificial Intelligence Simulated Humanoid Assistant) is an (AI) artificial intelligence-based digital series. The story, a fiction thriller, pivots around the widely debated and chilling premise of what happens when AI develops feelings and consciousness.

B Saikumar, founder, Arré, says in a press release, "The southern regional markets are large and growing markets from a mobile internet consumption and advertiser interest point of view. Digital media in these markets is more secular as compared to broadcasting and cable and there isn’t enough original content available currently. A.I.SHA, our first show, is possibly the best show to begin our regional foray with, given its universal appeal and the overwhelming viewer response it has received so far."

The series produced for Arré is by Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman’s first production venture Monozygotic. Ram, who also plays a key role in the show, says in a press release, "I’m super kicked to see that A.I.SHA has been such a hit. A.I.SHA is a special project for all of us at Monozygotic since it was our first fiction show and also the first show that Arré launched with. Arré has been an awesome partner and I’m excited about A.I.SHA now deepening its presence in the regional markets."

Pre-production work for A.I.SHA Season Two is underway and is planned for a launch later this year.
