GEC Watch: Colors’ Naagin 2 tops urban market while Naagin on Rishtey tops rural
In Week 41, Colors surges on the back of Naagin 2, closing in on top channel Star Plus in the urban market.

Star Plus continues to lead with 468715 Impressions versus 458945 in the previous week. Colors put on a stellar performance due to its top-ranked show Naagin. It raked in 450696 Impressions, a big jump from its previous week numbers which were at 392333 Impressions.
Sony Entertainment Television jumped up a slot to come in third with 292413 Impressions, a slight dip from last week’s impressions at 293844. Life Ok was at fourth position with 265220 Impressions (last week: 279502), while Zee TV dropped down a slot coming in fifth with 264379 Impressions. Sony SAB was at the sixth spot with 256307 Impressions while &TV was in the seventh spot with 138670 Impressions. The remaining three spots featured Zee Anmol at No.8 with 116867 Impressions, Sony Pal with 102883 Impressions, and Star Utsav at No. 10 with 92.282 Impressions.
Top five shows in Urban:
Colors’ Naagin Season 2 has slithered up to the top spot with 8838 Impressions, followed by the same channel’s Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki at 7026 Impressions and Star Plus’ Saath Nibhaana Saathiya with 6228 Impressions. Colors’ Udaan stood at No.4 with 6057 Impressions while Star Plus’ Ye Hai Mohabbatein raked in 6026 Impressions.
Rural Data
Zee Anmol with 404238 Impressions this week compared to the previous week’s 382681 is now steady at the top while Sony Pal at No.2 grabbed 329426 Impressions (last week: 273997). Star Utsav is at No.3 with 309055 Impressions versus 314049 Impressions in Week 40.
Rishtey is fourth with 302831 Impressions, Star Plus is at fifth spot with 237609 Impressions, while Colors comes in sixth with 232220 Impressions. Zee TV and Big Magic are at the seventh and eighth spots with 208573 Impressions and 156238 Impressions, respectively. Life Ok and Sony Entertainment Television take the remaining two spots on the list with 150768 Impressions and 123171 Impressions.
Top five shows in Rural:
Rishtey’s Naagin leads Week 41 with 7338 Impressions while Star Utsav’s Saath Nibhaana Saathiya follows with 6043 Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Jodha Akbar is third with 5757 Impressions while Zee Anmol’s Kasam Hai Tujhe Aa Bhi Jaa is at No.4 with 5279 Impressions. Zee Anmol’s Bandini at No.5, got 5064 Impressions.
