Madison Media appoints former GroupM hand Saif Shaikh
Based in Mumbai, he will head the Godrej business.
Madison Media has appointed Saif Shaikh as vice president; he will head the Godrej business which comprises Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Industries, Godrej Agrovet, Godrej Properties and Godrej Natures Basket.
Saif ShaikhShaikh will be based in Mumbai.
He brings with him 15 years of experience, during which time he worked across disciplines like media (Businessworld, Bennett Coleman & Company), research (Nielsen) and the agencies (Maxus India, Maxus Malaysia).
Most recently, he was with GroupM, where he spent the last seven years.
At Maxus Malaysia, where he spent two years, Shaikh worked on several key accounts including L'Oreal, Great Eastern Life Insurance, Costa Cruise, Unicharm and Friesland Campina.
His stint at Maxus India lasted five years; here, he worked on the L'Oréal, Tata Sky, Vodafone, Fiat and Allianz accounts.
In a press release, Vikram Sakhuja, Partner and Group CEO, Madison Media and OOH, says, "I am delighted to have Saif join and lead our team on Godrej and am sure he will add a lot of value to the client's business and our existing team".
Shaikh adds, "I am delighted to join Madison and lead one of its foremost and prestigious accounts, Godrej, and am looking forward to working with Sam (Balsara) and Vikram."
