IPL: Star India's Rs 16,000 crore plus bid wins broadcast rights

The rights are valid for a period of five years - 2018-22.

Twenty four companies picked up the tender documents, 14 submitted their bids and after evaluation BCCI awarded the media rights of Indian Premier League (IPL) to Star India. Star India's Rs. 16,347 crore bid won them the broadcast rights.

Star India won global media rights which includes, TV broadcast and steaming rights in India and Rest of the World (RoW).
