Based out of Atlanta, Athreya will report to Rob Sorcher, chief content officer, Cartoon Network.
Athreya joined Cartoon Network in 2014 as vice president. Previously, he worked with Turner Entertainment Networks Asia for six years as executive director programming acquisitions and product development, kids - Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he worked with Radio One as vice president programming and brand for two years. In the past, Athreya worked with Turner Broadcasting, Mumbai as senior programming manager. He has also worked with Go 92.5 FM as programming head for two years.
Athreya holds a post graduate diploma in communications from Mudra Institute of Communications - Ahmedabad, India. He also holds a bachelor’s of applied science degree in chemistry from St. Stephens College in Delhi, India.
