Sony creates a new Digital team under Danish Khan

Sony Pictures Networks India has announced an organisational restructure at its Digital Business. In October 2019, Uday Sodhi had resigned as the business head, digital business. Following Sodhi's resignation, Danish Khan, business head Sony Entertainment Television and Studio Next was given the additional responsibility of heading the digital vertical. He is now EVP and business head, SET, Studio NEXT and Digital business. 

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) runs video streaming platform Sony LIV along with a set of YouTube channels under its digital business and yesterday the media conglomerate announced that effective immediately Ashish Golwalkar will manage content for both SET (flagship channel, Sony) and Sony LIV as head-content, SET and Digital business. He was earlier heading the content portfolio of SET and played a pivotal role in creating new non-fiction intellectual properties.  

Aman Srivastava who was head marketing at Sony will now move to the digital business as head - marketing, Digital business. Amogh Dusad has been assigned with the responsibility of head-programming and new initiatives, Digital business. The organisation announced that Dusad will now handle strategic planning, operations, viewership management and analytics for Sony LIV. Along with that, Amit Raisinghani has been elevated to head - business planning and communications, SET. 

SPNI in a media statement mentioned that heads of respective verticals will report to Danish Khan in their new role.
