On the occasion of World Environment Day, QSR chain McDonald’s India took to social media to announce some of the green initiatives they’ve taken in the interest of environmental conservation and sustainability.
The first and foremost initiative that the brand is doing is repurposing cooking oil as fuel. It is also using recyclable material in its packaging and materials which are supposedly sustainably sourced.
In addition to this, McDonald's also posted on its social channels about how it was offering discounts to those who had gotten vaccinated. Given that there is still some level of vaccine hesitancy in India, this is a welcome move.
