Pioneer Publicity wins rights to new twin bus shelters in Mumbai

20 new 'twin' bus shelters will be built, managed and marketed by the company that has won the rights to these for five years

Out of home media owner Pioneer Publicity has won the rights to 20 new bus shelters in Mumbai. It has acquired this tender on a BOT (build-operate-transfer) basis.

Confirming the development, Sunil Vasudeva, director, Pioneer Publicity, tells afaqs!, "These new shelters are twin bus-Q-shelters, which have two bus shelters in one. Of the 20, six have already been installed, while the remaining will come up in due course of time."

Choosing not to share the company's winning bid amount in the tender, Vasudeva shares that Pioneer has won the rights to these for five years.

These bus shelters are being installed on the Western Express Highway in Mumbai.

Pioneer Publicity, the media owner which is more than five decades old, is headquartered in Delhi and operates in the domain of billboards, street furniture, ambient and transit media.

The company already has rights to all pole kiosks in Mumbai.

Its clients include Radio City, Aaj Tak, Honda, Samsung, State Bank of India, Nokia, Axis Bank and Maruti Suzuki. The company also operates and has offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Faridabad and Ghaziabad and owns media in Ahmedabad as well.
