Laqshya Group undergoes restructuring; prepares for aggressive growth
While Indrajit Sen continues as chief executive officer and Soumitra Bhattacharya as president, corporate affairs, Atul Shrivastava, erstwhile senior vice-president, North and East, has been promoted as chief operating officer. Shrivastava will also head the OMI division and oversee all the branches in their support functions.

Shashi Sinha, national sales head, airports, will now be in charge of all assets as senior vice-president, national asset sales. Both Shrivastava and Sinha will continue reporting to Sen.

The regions will also see some cascading changes, with OMI being headed by Amarjeet Singh Huda in the North, Sumit Roy Chowdhury in the East, Amit Nagrath in the West and Ravikanth Gauravaram in the South. Gauravaram will also be responsible for new high value business development at a national level for the group.

Naren Babu and Jude de Valiers will continue to be responsible for Laqshya assets and support functions in the South and Andhra Pradesh (AP), including airports, respectively. De Valiers also continues to be in charge of Laqshya's Colombo Airport concession.

Along similar lines, Naveen Jalan will be responsible for assets and support functions in the West.

For regional assets sales, the new responsibility will lie with Rajesh Mendiratta (for the North and East), Seema Jain (for the West) and Chandrasekhar Rao (for AP).

"Now that we are coming to the end of 2010-11, we need to look at the next two-three years very carefully and see that the positive trend that was set in motion from the second half of 2010 continues. Thus, we felt the need to effectively mobilise resources to give us the flexibility to grow aggressively and take Laqshya to glorious heights," shares Sen.

Shrivastava says, "I am delighted by the faith the management has reposed in me. Recognition within the organisation is an assurance that your efforts have been taken positively by the management. We have a very competent team and I'll try to ensure that it gets the required support to achieve targets and deliver enhanced performances."

Sinha adds, "With this consolidation, we will now have better synergy in our asset sales efforts and I am sure this will go a long way in building a formidable base for us in this country, giving our clients more flexibility to integrate all their OOH marketing efforts through a single point."

For the record, Laqshya offers outdoor media assets ownership (in multiple formats such as outdoors, ambient, street furniture, and airports) and OOH media solutions under the same roof. Laqshya functions largely through three divisions - OMI (Outdoor Media Integrated), the OOH media solutions wing, Laqshya Outdoors, a diversified portfolio of media assets in the OOH space enjoying a pan India presence, and Laqshya Airports.

Laqshya recently acquired the exclusive brand promotional rights for the IGI Airport Terminal 3 at New Delhi, and also has the rights to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad), and the Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo, Sri Lanka).
