Indrani Mukerjea officially appointed as CEO INX media

Meanwhile, the board of directors at INX Media has also proposed the appointment of Peter Mukerjea as executive chairman

Indrani Mukerjea, promoter and group executive director of INX has now been officially appointed as the CEO of the company by the board of directors.

Meanwhile, the board of directors has also proposed the appointment of Peter Mukerjea as the executive chairman of the group in the addition to the current responsibility of chief strategy officer. Peter Mukerjea was previously handling INX Global, and prior to that he was CEO with STAR Group India.

As the CEO of the company, Indrani Mukerjea will report to the chairman and the board of directors of the company.

In an official communiqué, INX Media stated that this decision has been taken to recognize the efforts of the INX team, which has been successful in launching two channels -- Hindi Music Channel, 9XM, and the Hindi GEC, 9X in a record time of eight months, under the leadership of both Peter Mukerjea and Indrani Mukerjea.

Indrani Mukerjea is the founder of INX Media and chairperson for INX News. She has also been an entrepreneur and is the promoter of the INX Group. She started the INX group in 1996, and that time the company had interest in human resource, which led to the creation of a leading human resource company. In 2005, she formed an exclusive partnership with one of the world¹s most highly rated executive search organization, IMD Search and Consulting.

The INX Group today comprises of four companies: INX Services and INX Executive Search in the human resources field, and INX Media and INX News in the media space.
