Prasad will spearhead the brand building and marketing efforts for ACC's cement and concrete businesses.
ACC, a leading marketer of cement and ready-mix concrete has appointed Ashish Prasad as chief marketing officer (CMO) and head of new products and services. He will be a member of the company's executive committee.
Prasad will be based in Mumbai and spearhead the brand building and marketing efforts for ACC's cement and concrete businesses. He will be responsible for growing the portfolio through the introduction of new products and solutions as well as the design and implementation of new services to strengthen ACC's presence as a complete solution provider in the building material space.
Commenting on Prasad's appointment, Neeraj Akhoury, managing director and CEO, ACC, says in a press statement, "I am delighted to welcome Ashish (Prasad) to the ACC family and the leadership team. He has worked with leading Indian and international companies, playing a pivotal role in building and shaping of brands across categories, as well as having P&L responsibility for a variety of businesses. An accomplished industry leader, Prasad brings over two decades of experience in brand management, sales, strategy, and business development at Indian and international companies including Pidilite Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints and the Coca-Cola Company. In his last role as the chief operating officer (COO) of the Construction Chemicals business at Pidilite Industries, Prasad was responsible for the development and growth of the Dr Fixit and Roff brands.
Prasad is a science graduate from Delhi University and holds a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
