Viacom18's Monika Shergill joins Netflix India
Shergill has been appointed as head - Series, International Originals.
Netflix India has appointed Monika Shergill as head - Series, International Originals. The news was confirmed to afaqs! by Netflix India.

With over 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry she has held various leadership positions at Viacom18, Star India, Sony Entertainment Television, Zee Telefilms and SAB TV.
In her latest stint at Viacom 18, the media company she joined in 2015, she was responsible for driving content and programming strategy for Viacom18's digital business. Shergill had joined Star in 2007 as programming head for Star One. Later on, in December 2009, she was appointed as the non-fiction head of Star Plus. She has also served as the non-fiction content engine head from 2011 to 2012 at the company. Prior to joining Star, she was with Sony Entertainment Television for five years as associate creative head.
