Apple has announced the appointment of Sabih Khan, currently senior vice president of operations as the new COO. This move comes after Jeff Williams, chief operating officer, will step down later this month.
Jeff Williams, who joined Apple in 1998, has played a key role in the company’s global supply chain and led major product initiatives, including the Apple Watch. He will continue to oversee design, Apple Watch, and health functions until his retirement later this year.
Sabih Khan has been with Apple for nearly three decades and has overseen end-to-end operations, including manufacturing, logistics, and environmental initiatives. His promotion ensures continuity in Apple’s operational leadership.
CEO Tim Cook said, “Jeff has helped build Apple into what it is today. Sabih has long been a critical part of our operations team, and he will be an excellent COO.”
