EssenceMediacom appoints Vivek Das as managing partner, MFG (Google) lead – India and South-East Asia

EssenceMediacom, GroupM’s newest media agency, has announced the appointment of Vivek Das as the new managing partner and MFG (Google) lead for India and Southeast Asia.

Vivek takes over from Vinish Mathews, who is now chief strategy officer at Mindshare. Vivek, with over twenty-one years of experience in digital and integrated marketing, has held prominent positions at WPP and Omnicom Media Group. He has successfully managed high-profile clients such as Airtel, Nokia, Ford, Disney Star, PepsiCo, and Hindustan Unilever. In his last role at GroupM’s Mindshare, he led the consulting, data, analytics, and technology practice, earning numerous accolades along the way.

In addition to his professional achievements, he is a mentor to early-stage founders and an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
