Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Sashikumar Sreedharan as its new managing director for India. Sreedharan takes over the leadership role from Bikram Singh Bedi, who will now focus on strategic initiatives within Google Cloud's Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Prior to this, Sreedharan served as the chief operating officer for Google Cloud APAC, a role he took in September 2023. His career also includes a significant tenure as managing director at Microsoft India, where he led their enterprise business, along with leadership roles at companies such as SAP and IBM.

In his capacity as India MD, Sreedharan will lead Google Cloud's go-to-market organization in the country. His mandate will involve working closely with the company's enterprise and digital native customers, partners, and the developer ecosystem, particularly as they build for an AI-first future.
