Schindler India has appointed Tarunesh Mathur as its new President and CEO for India and South Asia, effective July 1, 2025. Mathur takes over from Nitin Chalke, who will now join the Schindler Group Executive Committee and lead the Asia Pacific region from the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore.
Mathur has been with Schindler for over a decade and brings a total of 16 years of experience across customer service, business transformation, and operational leadership. Within Schindler, he has held various national and regional roles spanning exports, field operations, and most recently, the service, repair, and digital business segments.
In his LinkedIn post, Mathur said, “Schindler has been home for over a decade, and today marks a new chapter I’m humbled to step into. Together, we’ll build on our strong foundation to lead the way in shaping smarter, more reliable urban mobility across India—while delivering meaningful value through service, innovation, and partnership.”
