Motorola Mobility, a Lenovo company, has promoted Shivam Ranjan to the role of global head of brand, Motorola. In this new capacity, Ranjan will be responsible for shaping the global brand strategy and leading end-to-end marketing communication across all Motorola products, software, and services worldwide.
Ranjan previously served as head of marketing for the APAC region, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening Motorola’s brand presence and marketing operations across multiple key markets.
Reflecting on his journey, Ranjan shared thorugh a LinkedIn post, "Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading marketing for India and then the broader APAC region. Each chapter has been a remarkable journey—full of learning, growth, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to both the brand and the business.”
On stepping into the global role, he added, “As I now take on the honor of leading the Motorola brand on a global stage, I’m both humbled and excited about what lies ahead. Motorola is an iconic name in the industry, and I look forward to contributing to its continued evolution and global impact.”

Ranjan began his career as a software engineer at Infosys, before moving into marketing roles across diverse sectors. He has held positions at Fiberlink, Arshiya International, and Kelvin Cold Chain Logistics.
At Samsung Electronics, he served as senior manager – marketing, where he led 360-degree communication strategies for key product and service launches across various customer segments.
As head of brand and marketing at Airtel Payments Bank, he was responsible for driving brand visibility and consumer engagement across ATL, BTL, and digital platforms. He also managed the annual marketing budget and led campaigns to build awareness and preference for Airtel’s financial services.
