Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe as VP for Public Policy and Government Affairs

PhonePe, announced that it has appointed Shivnath Thukral as vice president for public policy and government affairs. In this role, Thukral will be responsible for leading PhonePe’s external engagement and discussions with policy makers and regulators to ensure the company continues to innovate and create a positive impact in the Indian economy, while also building on its thought leadership in the industry. 

Thukral will be part of the leadership team at PhonePe and work closely with founders Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari and other leaders.  

Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe as vice president of public policy after his tenure at Meta as its vice president of public policy, where he worked on regulatory issues in technology and financial inclusion.
