William Grant & Sons India appoints Kartik Mohindra as Managing Director

He will replace Sachin Mehta, who will take up an international role, leading the Canada business.

William Grant & Sons (WG&S) has announced the appointment of Kartik Mohindra as managing director, India effective 30 September. Formerly chief marketing officer & head of global business development at Pernod Ricard India, Kartik joins the business with over 26 years of experience as a senior leader in marketing and sales primarily in the alcohol, beverage and FMCG sectors.

Kartik’s predecessor, Sachin Mehta will be taking up an exciting international role, within the WG&S business, as managing director, Canada. In the past nine years he has made a significant impact, driving rapid business growth, strengthening the Company’s presence and achieving leadership for its portfolio of premium spirits brands in India.

In his former role, Kartik played a pivotal role in transforming business performance at Pernod Ricard, leading brand strategy and expanding into new global markets. Under his leadership, iconic brands such as Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet, Absolut, Blenders Pride, Royal Stag, Imperial Blue, Jameson, Jacob's Creek Wines and 100 Pipers achieved leading market positions. He has also overseen brand-led innovation across various categories, from whiskies and wines to brand extensions.

Kartik is known for his data-driven approach to brand building and profitability, strong regulatory stakeholder engagement, and passion for nurturing talent. He has worked extensively across diverse markets and brings with him a global perspective and a track record of business transformation, innovation, and sustainable growth.
