WPP Media announces new leadership structure for South Asia region

WPP Media South Asia has announced a revamped leadership framework. The development was shared with employees through an internal communication.

The newly formed executive committee features Priti Murthy, Ajay Gupte, Amin Lakhani, and Navin Khemka as presidents, client solutions. They will each lead distinct client portfolios, tasked with strengthening client relationships and delivering greater business impact.

Vishandas Hardasani will continue as chief financial officer, spearheading financial governance and discipline. Ashwin Padmanabhan steps into the role of chief operating officer, where he will lead delivery and partnerships across key areas such as commerce, performance, content, sports, and influencer marketing.

In addition, Praseed Prasad has been named president, growth and marketing, with a focus on business development and expanding categories, especially targeting startups and SMBs.

Upali Nag, as president – strategy, will drive strategic planning initiatives and is also overseeing the planned launch of Open Media Studio in Q3 2025. Meanwhile, Vishal Jacob has been appointed president of choreograph, where he will focus on accelerating data and technology adoption through the WPP Open platform across the agency’s client ecosystem.

Alongside the executive committee, WPP Media South Asia has also set up a WPP Media Leadership Council (WLC), bringing together senior leaders from key markets and functions to strengthen collaboration and alignment.

The WPP Media Leadership Council (WLC) brings together senior leaders from across functions and markets. Key members include Ajay Mehta (Media Solutions), Atique Kazi (Commerce), Ruchi Mathur, Shekhar Banerjee, and Snehi Jha along with the MFG business team, representing client solutions. The council also features Vinit Karnik (Entertainment & Sports), Manini Chakraborty (Legal), Namalie Herath (Sri Lanka market lead), Murali T (Media Delivery & Operations), Parveen Sheik (Business Strategy), and Rohit Sule (Tech Business Partner), among others.
