Kanika Kalra, global brand director, marketing, Hindustan Unilever, has put in her papers, confirmed a company spokesperson.

An e-mail response from HUL on the development states, "Kanika Kalra, global brand director, marketing, Hindustan Unilever, has decided to leave the company to pursue an external opportunity."

Kalra, who has 15 years of experience, joined Hindustan Unilever in 2008. At HUL, she looked after the fairness cream brand Fair & Lovely. Prior to the eight-year long stint with HUL, Kalra was a senior manager at Pepsi. She has also worked with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, as well as with Genpact.
A Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics) from Lady Shriram College, University of Delhi, Kalra also holds a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
