Speaking about his new role, Valles says, "With my agency background, I can bring a lot more to the script while delivering the idea. I believe there is an immense scope in making commercials in India more edgy and giving them a fresh look to boost their recall value."

Talking on the partnership, Basu mentions, "Raylin is a rare breed artist and one of the funniest guys I know. I can't wait to create magic with him."

Having worked in New Zealand, Bangkok, Malaysia and India, Valles comes with more than a decade of experience. Before McCann, he has worked with DDB India as creative director and Publicis Communications as creative group head. He has also worked with industry stalwarts such as Prasoon Joshi, Sonal Dabral, Bobby Powar, Emmanuel Upputuru, Ronald Ng/MUN and Andy Dilallo/Jay Benjamin.

His work on clients such as Pepsi, VW, HP, Philips, Olympus and Perfetti has won him accolades in DNAD, Cannes, One Show, Clio, Spikes and Adfest. His last win was at Spikes this year, where he and his team bagged the Grand Prix.
