Rediffusion Y&R Flexes Creative Muscle

Trishay Kotwal and Sreejith Kodoth join the agency as creative heads in a string of new appointments.

Trishay Kotwal and Sreejith Kodoth have been appointed as creative heads for Rediffusion Y&R, Mumbai.

Kotwal, who joins Rediffusion Y&R for a second stint this time, comes with 13 years of work experience. Kotwal joins from DraftFCB+Ulka and has previously worked with McCann Erickson, Alok Nanda and Company, Ambience Publicis, Enterprise Nexus for brands such as Tata Motors, Zee Network, L'Oreal, Maybelline, Parachute Oil, Pears, Jet Airways, Tata Salt, Neo Sports, Big CBS, Arrow, Adlabs, Lee, Taj Hotels, Himalayan, Lodha, Lakme, KamaSutra, Kingfisher Airlines, Vicks, Westside and Timesjobs.com.

Kodoth, meanwhile, has worked with JWT, Salt Brand Solutions, DDB Mudra and O&M. Kodoth joins in from Salt Brand Solutions and brings to the table around 13 years of industry experience. He has worked on a variety of brands like Volkswagen, Cadbury, Adidas, Bajaj Pulsar, Castrol, Red FM, Van Heusen, Levis, Kingfisher, Standard Chartered, Lipton, Wipro, and Spice Telecom.

Komal Bedi Sohal, chief creative officer, Rediffusion Y & R, says, "The creative talent on board bring with them years of experience, in-depth knowledge on almost all major categories and a wonderful energy and craft to the platform. The two appointments come close on the heels of the agency hiring Sambit Mishra, Vihar Patkar and Virendra Tivrekar as creative heads in Mumbai.

Mishra joined Rediffusion Y&R from Eleven Brandworks after working with Contract, Ogilvy, Cheil India, Bates, David Enterprise, Everest Brand Solutions, Lowe Lintas and Publicis India. He has 12 years of relevant experience working on brands like Domino's, SetWet, NIIT, Jaypee Group, Del Monte, Spice, Limca, Samsung, Nokia, Radico Khaitan, Indiatimes.com, GPI, Hitachi, LG, Maruti, Dabur, Nestle, HP Compaq, Airtel, Canon, Maruti and PVR.

Patkar came back to Rediffusion Y&R after working with Saatchi & Saatchi, P&G-Ariel, Head & Shoulders, Pillsbury, Otrivin, Carlsberg, Kaya Skin Clinic, BSE, L&T General Insurance, BIG-RTL, Taj Hotels, Kingfisher Airlines, Himalayan Water, Tata Motors (Nano & CVBU), Orra and Sugarfree.

Joining from Eleven Brandworks, Tivrekar has worked on brands like brands like Garnier, Pepsodent, Kissan, Rexona, Axe, BPCL, Wheel, Kara, Idea, Hit, Hamam , Phillips, Reliance Mutual Fund, HPCL,Vaseline, Tata Indicomm, Band-Aid, Strepsils, Pears, Sweetex, Babool, Lycra, Stayfree, Liril, Breeze, Bajaj, Lifebuoy, Go 92.5 FM, Rexona. He had worked with Publicis, Lowe Lintas, Mudra Communications and McCann Erickson before he joined Eleven Brandworks.

The five new faces will make up three creative teams along with Tony Pereira, in the Rediffusion Mumbai office.
