HUL wins advertiser of the year.
Lowe Lintas + Partners has won the agency of the year award at Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards, along with Hindustan Unilever, the FMCG company, winning the advertiser of the year award. Philippines, with 46 total wins grossed the highest number of awards, followed by India, with a total of 21 on the tally, all of which was earned by Lowe Lintas + Partners. The agency recieved a total of 20 awards other than agency of the year, including 2 grand prix, 14 golds, 3 silvers and a bronze. For the record, Lowe Lintas + Partners had also won agency of the year at the recently held AMES awards.
Of the various campaigns by the agency, 'Help a Child reach 5', done for HUL's Lifebuoy, was the favourite, winning four golds and a silver. The other award winning campiangs were, 'Power of 49' with two golds and a silver for Tata Global Beverages, 'Respect for Women' (Havells India) with two golds and a silver, 'One more year' (HUL) with three golds, 'Little Farmers of Kissanpur' and 'From dark to connectivity to joy', each with two golds for HUL.
The ninth edition of the Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards, which was held in Manila, had names like Rohit Jawa of Uniliver Philippines, Charles Cadall of McCann Worldgroup, Rupen Desai of Lowe & Partners, Tay Guan Hin of JWT, Ted Lim of Dentsu Aegis Network Asia and many others on the jury panel. The awards, organised by the School of Communication of the University of Asia & Pacific, honours brands that promote social good.
