For Publicis, it will mark an entry into the country's mobile handsets market which is set to become the second largest smartphone market in the world by 2016. Also, a Cybex Exim Report from April 2015 claims that Intex's import shipments for smartphones were the highest among Indian handset manufacturers.

Commenting on the association with Publicis, Intex's director, Keshav Bansal, says, "We are thrilled by the market response to our innovative products which reflects in the rapid growth of our brand.
