Naveen Raman joins Bates CHI & Partners as senior VP, advertising

Bates CHI & Partners has announced the appointment of Naveen Raman as senior vice-president, advertising. Raman will operate from the agency's Bengaluru office and will handle accounts of companies such as Dell, the Embassy Group, Future Group brands such as Indigo Nation, Scullers, Jealous 21, as well as Flipkart's Sellers' market, Wipro, Mahindra Retail's BabyOye, Pearson India, OnsiteGo, and the Vakil Group.

Commenting on the new appointment, V S Srikanth, CEO, Bates CHI & Partners, says, "We are excited to have someone with (Naveen) Raman's experience on board. He will, without doubt, add momentum to Bates CHI & Partners India which is already growing at a rapid pace. Raman's earlier stints in key marketing roles should only add to Bates' growing stature with its clients in India."

Raman comes on board with a decade-and-a-half long experience in marketing and advertising in India and West Asia. Prior to joining Bates CHI & Partners, he worked at Homelane.com, a fixed furniture and interior design space start-up as associate vice-president, marketing. He has also handled the marketing division at TutorVista, an online tutoring company which was later acquired by Pearson.

Raman started his career in marketing with the Ambuja Group in Kolkata. Later, he moved to West Asia where he worked on international brands across automobile, retail, and the financial sector. He then returned to the country to join Orchard Advertising, Bengaluru, and worked on accounts like Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Joy, Essilor, Tata Gold Plus, Royal Challenge, Wipro Smartlite and Subhiksha. This was followed by his stint at Rediffusion-Y&R Bengaluru, where he led the business for USL, ING Vysya, Arrow, Xylys, and Amanté.
