OLX, a consumer-to-consumer (C2C) marketplace, has appointed Enormous Brands as its creative partner to build brand communication, and strengthen its position as a leading online classifieds platform for auto, real estate, furniture, electronics and goods. The agency has won the account following a multi-agency pitch in 2017.
The agency conceptualised OLX India’s recent advertising campaign ‘OLX Karo, Aagey Badho’, which establishes the significance of OLX as the enabler in progression in one’s life. Leading the creative mandate with a clear and focussed communication, OLX India and Enormous Brands are extending their association in 2018.
Speaking about the win, Ashish Khazanchi, managing partner, Enormous Brands, says in a company statement, “OLX is a dynamic and exciting brand to work with; in a short time they have led to a cultural change and shift in consumer behaviour towards online buying and selling of pre-owned goods in India. We aim to build upon its high brand awareness and its cross category leadership, to develop innovative campaigns, for taking the brand to the next level.”
According to the press release shared by the agency, OLX has a brand-awareness that is more than seven times that of other classifieds players in the industry, and covers 85 per cent market share of the horizontal classifieds trade in India. To strengthen the leadership position, Enormous Brands will be responsible for designing engaging communications for specific categories while reinforcing the message ‘Aagey Badho’, to highlight OLX as a preferred partner in the hustle and bustle of chasing life’s endless aspirations.
