Carlton D'Silva quits Hungama Digital Services

He will lead the team across six offices.

J. Walter Thompson (JWT) South Asia has elevated Carlton D'Silva to the post of chief executive officer, Hungama Digital Services. HDS is a digital and social media marketing agency.

D'Silva has spent close to 16 years with HDS; he joined back in 1999.

He will report to Tarun Rai, chief executive officer, JWT South Asia, and will continue to lead HDS as its chief creative officer.

D'Silva will be in charge of HDS across six offices, including Hungama Promo Marketing. He will be responsible for the team's overall growth and creative output.

Rai says, in a press note, "Carlton is a dynamic, creative leader with strategic capabilities, which makes him an ideal choice to head HDS. He is young, ambitious and has the drive to take HDS to the next level."

D'Silva has won several national and international awards for his work, and has also been a juror at several local and international award festivals, like the Abby Awards, Spikes Asia, Yahoo Big Idea Chair, New York Ad festival, Adfest Asia and Cannes Lions.

Neeraj Roy, director, Hungama Digital Services, says, "Apart from being one of the most experienced digital advertising professionals in India, Carlton has demonstrated tremendous leadership qualities... " He adds that D'Silva will leverage creative digital activations and transform their clients' communities to transactions.

HDS' clientele includes names such as Pepsi, Tata Sky, Mitsubishi Motors, Tiger Beer, Mahindra, Nokia, MasterCard, ICICI Bank, Axe, Nike, Bacardi and Cadbury, among several others.

JWT South Asia includes offices across India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
