Sumeet Yadav appointed as executive chairman - Zivame

Previously, he was heading the India business of Nando's as CEO.

Online lingerie retailer, Zivame has appointed Sumeet Yadav as the executive chairman. He will be joining Zivame from Nando's, a food and beverage (F&B) brand, where he was the CEO for India.

According to the press release shared by the company, Yadav will strengthen Zivame's efforts in diversifying its portfolio and furthering growth by intensifying its omni-channel presence.

Speaking about his new role, Yadav says, "It gives me immense pride in taking up this new responsibility. This is an exciting time for the industry, which is going through tremendous evolution, with digitisation playing a disruptive role in influencing business dynamics and consumer engagement... It would be a fascinating journey as Zivame truly fulfils its potential as the leading lingerie brand in the market."

Yadav has had a successful track record of launching and building international retail brands in India. In his previous roles Yadav has been the country head for Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica.

Commenting on Yadav's appointment, Shilpa Kulkarni, director Zivame, says, "We are excited to have (Sumeet) Yadav strengthen the team at Zivame. He brings a wealth of experience in the apparel industry and we look forward to his contribution in solidifying Zivame as a leading omni-channel woman's brand in the industry."
