TAM, the television audience measurement agency, has released the data for the 45 matches of the Indian Premiere League 8 (IPL 8).
As per the data, 182 million unique viewers have sampled IPL 8 matches, so far. The T20 cricketing tournament has garnered an average TVR of 3.6 per cent in its first five weeks. This is 22 per cent higher than last year.
Meanwhile, time spent by viewers per match was 45 minutes and 4 seconds - 9 per cent more compared to IPL 7. The average TVTs (television viewership in thousands) showed a growth of 23 per cent for IPL 8, compared to IPL 7.
The report also revealed that 68 per cent of the All India Universe of TAM tuned in to watch IPL 8 matches.
