Retired football star David Beckham has just featured in powerful UNICEF video against child abuse. Beckham’s famous tattoos are on display to draw awareness to the message that says, 'Violence marks forver'.

Scenes of abuse and bullying children appear as animated tattoos on Beckham's body during the 60-second clip.

"David Beckham chose the marks on his skin, but millions of children bear marks that they haven’t chosen," the video’s caption explains.

Beckham's own collection of tattoos were marks chosen to represent happy or important memories, and the charity points out that millions of children bear marks they have not chosen.

The animations in the film depict forms of violence that children endure in spaces where they should be safe, such as their homes, schools, online and in their communities.
