Amit Sharma, business head of 360 Degrees, the experiential marketing arm of the Times of India, and member of the West Zone Executive Committee at Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), passed away after suffering a massive heart attack in Delhi on January 06. He is survived by his wife, Reena and daughter, Ishita.

His family, close friends and colleagues are left in shock. "There are times in our lives when one is forced to step back and question everything around us, question whether it's all worth it. The sad and tragic demise of Amit Sharma is such an occurrence. We wish Amit's family, especially his wife, strength in this unimaginable moment of grief and tragedy," says Atul S Nath, executive vice-president, EEMA and CEO & managing partner, Candid Marketing.

Brian Tellis, president, EEMA and chairman, Fountainhead Promotions & Events says, "We had known Amit for many years as a colleague and friend. He had been in our industry for over 10 years and was an excellent example of a thorough professional. I know I speak for many of us when I say that I looked to Amit as an important element in the future of the growth of our business over the next few years. Above all, he was a great guy and this is a huge loss for the entire industry and for EEMA. May Amit's soul rest in peace."

Sharma had also worked at Radio Mirchi for close to five years and was vice-president when he left the organization. He also worked overseas as vice-president, operations and business development at Lowe Contexture in Bahrain.
