India’s MSME sector is a key part of the economy, supporting millions across rural and urban areas. It drives innovation, creates jobs, and promotes growth. To highlight its importance, Z Bharat held the ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ MSME Conclave at Bharat Mandapam on 16 June 2025.

The ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ conclave recognised India’s MSMEs and changemakers. It brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, sector experts, and institutional leaders for a day of discussions and decisions. Several Union Ministers attended, including Nitin Gadkari (Road Transport & Highways), Jitan Ram Manjhi (MSME), Jual Oram (Tribal Affairs), Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel (Animal Husbandry & Panchayati Raj), Harsh Malhotra (Corporate Affairs and Road Transport), Santosh Kumar Suman (Water, Bihar), and Syed Shahnawaz Hussain (BJP Spokesperson). Their presence underscored the Centre’s focus on policy reform, digitalisation, and economic growth.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari outlined plans to revive India’s infrastructure, including clearing stalled projects worth Rs. 3.85 lakh crore and launching high-speed expressways like the Delhi–Dehradun corridor. He announced a Rs. 40,000 crore mission to remove accident-prone road black spots, focusing on speed, safety, and efficiency. MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said over 6 crore MSMEs provide 28 crore jobs, forming the core of India’s employment and economy. Harsh Malhotra highlighted the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which has served 140 crore beneficiaries and saved Rs. 3.5 lakh crore across 200 schemes, while reducing company registration time from 350 days to 3–4 days.

Former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain spotlighted Bihar’s transformation through the rise of ethanol production units, mega food parks, and a growing aviation sector. He emphasised that Bihar is shedding stereotypes and becoming a powerful player in India’s development. Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, MoS for Animal Husbandry and Panchayati Raj, emotionally described how schemes like PM Awas Yojana and Ayushman Bharat are making villagers feel seen, respected, and secure. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s 11 years of clean governance as the moral compass behind India’s rapid growth in sectors such as dairy, meat, and rural infrastructure.

The ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ conclave hosted panel discussions on key growth sectors like sustainable construction, UPVC modular furniture, rural manufacturing, agri-tech, FMCG, and smart innovations. Entrepreneurs shared examples of using drone technology, paperless documentation, and eco-friendly practices to improve efficiency. The event focused on India’s manufacturing sector, which makes up 17% of GDP, and stressed the need for investment in skill development and local businesses to support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat goal.

Speaking on the editorial commitment behind the initiative, Santosh Kumar, editor of Z Bharat, said, “Z Bharat has always stood for a Bharat that builds itself from the grassroots. ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ is our editorial pledge to honour the visionaries who power the real economy. India's MSME sector is not just contributing to GDP — it is redefining resilience, creating livelihoods, and laying the foundation for the India of tomorrow.”

Echoing this sentiment, Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of Zee Media Corporation, added, “At Z Media, we believe in journalism that goes beyond headlines. ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ is our tribute to the people who are building a new India — with innovation, efficiency, and determination. MSMEs are the heart of our economy, and we will continue to support their journey with platforms that inform, empower, and celebrate.”

‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ was co-powered by Servokon (Power & Solar Control Manufacturers), Fine (Switches to Style), Figo India, and SAGE University (Indore), with special partnership from SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (Kanpur), Marmi Klassik, U.P. Avas Evam Vikas Parishad, Zigma Paints, Dev Bhoomi University, and the Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination.
