Mumbai, June 15

India based DQ Entertainment, a leading Animation and Gaming Company based out of India, won the prestigious DayTime EMMY Award for Tutenstein which was co-produced with Porchlight, USA for Discovery Kids. Tutenstein, a TV Series (13 x 22') won the award in the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program category. Emmy award-winning animated series utenstein was produced for DiscoveryKids/NBC.

Tapaas Chakravarti, the CMD & CEO of DQ Entertainment is the Executive producer on this show and was in LA with the team from Porchlight to receive the award. Speaking to the team back home, he was euphoric since this is the first time an Indian company has won an Emmy.

Tutenstein is a lovely animated series which was produced in DQE's Hyderabad Studio, and incorporates real names from ancient Egyptian history and interesting information about Egyption folklore and historical facts.

Earlier in November 2006, DQ Entertainment was positioned 391st in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific program and 42nd in the Technology Fast 50 India 2006 Program.
