Tata Indicom slashes ISD call rates

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd., India’s fastest growing telecom service provider slashed ISD call rates on Rs. 1000/- denomination calling cards.

The slashed rates offer ISD calls as low as Rs. 1.99 per minute on calling cards worth Rs. 1000/- only. The card enables ISD calls to US / Canada at Rs. 1.99/- while to UK landline at Rs 4.50/- and Gulf at Rs. 6.99 per minute. The offer also provides validity period of 90 days from the date of activation and STD at Rs. 1/- along with full talk time on the calling card.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Ramesh Iyer, Vice President, Sales - Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd. said, “We are getting extremely good response on our calling cards, which offers convenience of anytime connectivity, control on expenses and versatility with ease of availability. We expect the current ISD rates offered on our calling cards to further facilitate ‘affordable’ calling for our consumers. As we offer ISD rates as low as Rs. 1.99 per minute, we expect our offer to further facilitate international long distance calling service as convenient and reasonable as STD calls made within the country. Our primary objective is to offer easy and uninterrupted long distance connectivity to the customers irrespective of their location.”

Calling Cards facilitate ISD calls irrespective of any long distance call facility activated on the connection. These calling cards operate by dialing the access number along with a distinctive PIN number, which serves as a numeric code given to every calling card. The unique features of the Tata Indicom Calling Card are its speed dialing and PINless dialing features. The PINless speed-dialing feature gives customers the option of having easy access to the three frequently dialed numbers, hence making it convenient for the users.

“It is a product designed keeping in mind the requirements of our customers who are frequent ISD users or make expensive long distance calls. The card also offers travelers, the benefit of affordable long distance calling facility even while on roaming.
