New Giorgio Armani sunglasses now in India

Safilo, the international leader in fashion eyewear, today launched the new Giorgio Armani collection that endorses a look consisting of large frames - round or square - and epitomizes classic Hollywood glamour. The collection also comprises smaller sophisticated models in oval and butterfly shapes.

Among the collections most distinctive details are the slender metal temples, adopted even on models with larger shapes for an extremely elegant effect. The "Giorgio Armani" logo is screenprinted or engraved on a metal logo plate positioned at the beginning of the temples.

Ongoing research has led to the development of brand new colours, both for shaded lenses and for acetate and metal. For lenses, the collection favours fresh, subtle shades of shaded pink, violet, shaded red, yellow and turquoise, while acetate models prefer shades of cyclamen blue, white-pink, beige-red, as well as classic brown and black, and delicate pastel shades of white, dove, beige, ivory.

Optical frames are characterised by clean, polished designs that favour rectangular and oval shapes. Made of Optyl or steel and beta titanium, they are uniquely characterised by their featherweight lightness. The temples come with a distinctive, curved design, with flex temples on some models for absolute comfort.

Acetate flaunts pearlescent, luminous shades of green, purple, crystal, wisteria, red, beige and ivory, while metal comes in sober, refined shades of semi-gloss ruthenium, grey-blue, satin finish tobacco, light green and rhodium, as well as classic colours like black, bordeaux and palladium.

The range is priced between Rs 7,700 and Rs 11,000. While the range is available at Lawrence & Mayo showrooms across the country, in New Delhi, the collection would be available at Dayal Opticals, Seventeen Arcade, Siddharth Opticians, Himalaya Opticals Pvt. Ltd., Punjab Optical House P. Ltd and Ikon. In Mumbai, the range would be displayed at Optik, Vision 2000, Shoppers Stop, Shoppers Stop-In Orbit Mall, Gangar Opticians and in Bangalore at GKB Opticals. Himalaya Group in Kolkata will showcase the Giorgio Armani collection.
