Pepsi and Hero Honda Campus Rock Idols call for entries

Pepsi and Hero Honda Campus Rock Idols is the biggest ever college rock competition of its kind to storm the music scene in India. College bands are invited to participate in this competition, to vie for the title of the best Rock Band in the country.

The clash of titans commences at the city level, which will comprise college bands from within the city and surrounding regions. The winner then takes on the winners from other cities to decide the regional champion; the best regional bands then compete at the national level where the Campus Rock Idol will emerge victorious and be crowned.

The highlight of this contest is the once in a life time opportunity for the winning Campus Band to perform alongside international Rock Icons, of the likes of Bryan Adams, Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, Duran Duran and Sting, amongst others who will perform in India.

In addition to the privilege of playing alongside music legends, cash prizes will be awarded to the winners apart from multimedia equipment for the college management of the winning bands.

Events will be held at 11 different cities across the geographic spread of the country. These events will be captured and edited to a television special series by MTV.
