Ramesh C. Surana, Executive Director and CEO, HEG Limited, has been inducted into the Board of Directors of the Company. Prior to the induction, Mr. Surana was the President of HEG for three years.
Mr. Surana has been associated with HEG for the last 25 years. During his tenure, the Company has achieved many major milestones, the important ones being:
· Expansion of the plant capacity from 19,000 MT to 32,000 MT and achieving a plant utilization factor of around 95% for the last 3 years.
· Continuous growth in the export market and maintaining the bottom line of the Company when the other players globally were finding it difficult to survive.
· Achieving recognition for HEG in the form of the National Export Award, CAPEXIL Award for Highest Exports and the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Commendation Award.
· Reorganization of HEG by hiving off its Textile Divisions to focus on its core competence of Graphite, Sponge and Power.
Apart from his professional assignment, Mr. Surana holds voluntary positions with PHDCCI, CII, MPCCI & also is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of S. V. Polytechnic, Bhopal.
