Arena Animation, the global leader in Animation and Multimedia training, in collaboration with Asian Institute of Communication & Research (AICAR) has announced the launch of a Post Graduate Program in Animation.

The 18-month residential Postgraduate Program in Animation is designed in collaboration with the University of the West of England (UWE), UK and validated by animation professionals. It covers commercial aspects of animation, visual culture and communication, and research methodology, and includes a 3-month Studio Internship at an Animation House or Production House of repute.

Besides the expertise provided by UWE, a student would have the opportunity to progress to UWE, UK to complete 2 additional modules spanning 9 months and receive an MA Media (Animation) from UWE.Announcing the launch of this program, Mr. R. The Postgraduate Program in Animation is the ultimate course for ambitious animators. It gives the opportunity to a talent to pursue higher grounds of learning in animation through research and training.This program would be conducted at a world-class residential Institute, Asian Institute of Communication & Research (AICAR), a beautifully landscaped 30-acre campus at Neral, Maharashtra.

The students of the Postgraduate Program would have access to state-of-the-art Studio facilities at AICAR along with a faculty of practicing artists, animators and academicians of National and International standing.The high-tech in-house Studio consists of Art Studio, 2D Animation Lab, Digital Lab, Media Center & Library, Green Screen Hall & Acting Area, Motion Capture Studio, Sound Recording Room, Video Editing suites, Screening Room and Seminar Hall.

Entrance criteria:

A Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 1-year Program in Animation from an institute of repute or minimum 1-2 years of professional experience of working in the Animation Industry.

The total intake for this program would be 50 students. The last date of submission of Application Form is 16th August, 2008 followed by the Entrance Exam on 23rd & 24th August, 2008 at AICAR, Neral. The final list would be announced after a Personal interview (with Portfolio showcase) in September. The Course commences from 6th October, 2008.
