HomeShop18, India’s first 24 hour home shopping channel celebrates Diwali with a bang this year by launching its first nationwide promotion “Diwali Dhamaal”. This is coupled with the just released new mass media television campaign on this promotion.

The film introduces the home shopping on TV concept along with the grand prizes which can be won on Diwali. This is done by showcasing a wish fulfilling Genie who emerges out of a Magic lamp and who tells the family who has called him the secret of how he fulfills his own shopping desires.

In the film, the family comprises of a gizmo geek son, a daughter who wants trendy products, a well aware mother and a modern dad. They rub a magic lamp and a genie appears. A sleepy genie appears who is wondering why he was woken up. While the family rattles their wish list, the Genie in a very matter of fact tone tells the family, that for all these products all they have to do is to watch HomeShop18 for all their needs. While the family does not take to the Genie’s recommendations too easily, the genie tells them of the various offers available this Diwali on HomeShop18 and the family leaves the lamp aside in favor of the TV remote.

The film closes with the genie making a comeback and lets people on to his secret that he too shops from HomeShop18, India’s first 24 hour home shopping channel.
