Digicables innovative implementation of one of the largest Greenfield deployment of hybrid digital, analog and IP network in the broadcast and cable TV industry has been acclaimed by Intel.
Digicable was presented an award for creating Virtualized IT infrastructure for its Subscriber Management System (SMS), Conditional Access System (CAS) and Network Management Capability for the Local Cable Operators at the Intel Enterprise Innovation Summit, organized to celebrate excellence and innovation of technology in green IT projects in Mumbai on October 17, 2008.
Digicables Virtualized IT infrastructure reduces operations costs and improves efficiency of business IT processes. Similar efforts from other companies like TCS, Infosys, ONGC and SBI were also recognized by Intel.
The award was presented by Dr. Patrick P. Gelsinger, Sr. Vice President, Intel Corporation and General Manager, Digital Enterprise Group to Mr. Asif Khan, Chief Technology Officer, Digicable Network India Pvt. Ltd. at an event jointly organized by Intel along with Economic Times and NDTV Profit.
The event was attended by technocrats from across industry lines and also included an open forum discussion on the need of energy conservation and green IT and use of such virtualized environment for optimal utilization of resources.
